Our center-based locations are led by a team of compassionate professionals all specializing in Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA). We offer evidence-based approaches to behavior management, enhancing communication, social skills, and Daily Living Skills to individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). We understand that every individual with ASD is unique, and that’s why we take the time to conduct thorough assessments and collaborate closely with families and other related service teams. Together, we customize treatment plans that address the specific challenges and goals of each child. Breakthrough Foundations acknowledges that some individuals may require behavioral support. All staff members employed by Breakthrough Foundations are trained in Safety-Care®, which is an evidence-based crisis intervention program that utilizes practical techniques from Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) and Positive Behavior Interventions & Supports (PBIS), to implement trauma-informed and compassionate strategies for preventing and managing behavioral challenges.
If your child requires a Behavior Intervention Plan, every clinician on your staff’s team will receive behavior intervention training from the assigned BCBA/LBA supervisor before working with your child. Breakthrough Foundations favors proactive strategies such as replacement skill acquisition and communication training to promote appropriate behavior. When reactive strategies are necessary, the clinicians at Breakthrough Foundations will implement the most effective but least restrictive interventions when possible, according to the interventions in the student’s Behavior Intervention Plan.
